BX Landscape rake

Anyone try using a 5 foot landscape rake with the BX? 5' is the smallest the tractor stores stock. It seems large for the BX.

I don't have my BX yet (maybe tomorrow) but if you look at old post on back blades, most of the guy's are saying you can use a 60" back blade. If that's true I wou;ld think a 60" rake should not be a problem.

I was looking for a 6 foot and ended up with a 7 foot. Dealer said they would cut 6 inches of each end if I needed a 6 footer. I'll leave it at 7 foot. If I cut it I would have a bunch of replacement tines.

King Kutter has a 5' rake in their XB line so I would think the BX would handle at least a 5 footer fine.

I am positive it should handle a 5 foot rake unless it is some monsterous thing you have found. J

Being from Maine we have a lot of large stone in our gravel my dealer recommended a rake over a box blade.
I have a Howes 5' landscape rake which I use with my BX 1800, the little BX has no problem pulling it.
I have the option dual wheels which is nice feature when I do the final leveling and grooming of 600'-700' of road, professional looking results are easily achieved. High recommend.

I had my septic system dug up last fall and borrowed a 7 ft rake to clean up the mess. My BX 1800 had no trouble handling it.

I have a 6 foot Leinbach rake, and the BX handled it fairly well when I cleaned up from my septic job. I thought I was going to get a 5 footer, bot when I arrived the dealer only had the 6. Only problem I have noticed is that the tractor only gives me about 5 inches of clearance when the rake is adjusted and raised. I think that looking into a XB or a similar low profile would be a good thought.
