2018 Kubota BX 1880
Greetings everyone!
First off I wanted to say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone here.
I lurked around for years before actually pulling the trigger and getting a Kubota BX1880 last year.
This little Kubota has become indispensable!
Because of this group and one other tractor forum, I have learned so much and usually can find answers for what I need or at least get a general ideal of where to look.

Below is my led light project with photos!
Please feel free to ask any questions, comment, yell at me, etc.
Again, that you all so very much!

Paul

These LED'S are 60W per light front and side floods for a total of 240 watts.
I would have put more but that's at or near the maximum amps can pull.

Mounted a lighted weatherproof switch that lights up when the LED'S are on near the headlight switch.

Used a trailer wiring box for a clean water proof install.
Put a relay in wiring box with a trigger when the key is on.

Mounted LED'S on the ROPS on each side with a bracket.

Front view & Rear view.

I may be small but I will be SEEN!

What what dont you have strapped to that rops? Lol. What brand lights did you get? I have been happy with my cheap $13 for two amazon led pod lights. There no where near 60w each but i couldnt see wanting anymore on my micro ex.

Yeah I like to be prepared!
For the record I have strapped to the ROPS-
1.Basket for tow cable, chain & a fire extinguisher.
2. Tool box.
3. Shovel, Pitch fork.
4. lights
5. Canopy
6. Go pro (knock off) mount.
:cool2:

As far as the lights, they are from Amazon and called " oEdRo Side Shooter LED Lights"
Yeah not a name I recognize either but at only $46 a pair they kick donkey butt!
here is the link.

As far as the wattage, well why do something just right when you can over do it!:drink:

If I need to work in less than perfect light I want them to light my path like the SUN!

They seem (to me) to work like a bright side marker on a truck or car.
Meaning, they light up enough to see what's on the side of my tractor from about the steering wheel forward until they blend with the forward lights.
I think overall they are useful especially if you were working next to someone or something like the side of a mountain and did want to fall off!:tractor::shocked:

Looks good! you will be able to see at night for sure. I was also considering those "side shooters". I think I'll have to get them now.
