I was at my dealer today to have the 3 way valve swapped out for the 4 way in order to install the front quick-attach setup. He told me that Kubota has recently changed the valve assy design so that it stays with the tractor instead of coming off with the loader. Has anyone else seen this change? If its true, I'm glad that Kubota realized how dumb it was to have to disassemble the loader in order to keep the valve assy for the front attachments.

Haven't seen this yet, but maybe they took a page from Rogues' mod that he posted sometime back. Simple enough and ought to do the trick just fine....

I've had the 4 way valve attached to the tractor since I bought it. It stays on the tractor yr. round and gets used for the quick hitch in the winter. I'm planning on buying the FEL next spring and am hoping it's not going to be a hassle to put on.

The loader isn't bad to install the first time. The biggest thing is to have some sort of hoist available when you first hook up the cylinder arms and bucket to line everything up. It'll take you a couple hours....

I didn't opt for the fel, I got the front blade with my bx....and yes my valve stays on my tractor all the time. I plan on either using it for a hyd top link or adding a dump cylinder to my dirt scoop when I get it. The nice thing is I can pin the hyd angle on my blade and then use the output for the rear like I said while still being able to use the blade. Sure the lines might get a little long but it could run some steel tubing and just get some shorty qiuck connect flex lines. Hmmmm..../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I purchased my BX 2200 this summer w/ FEL and wanted the valve assy. that stays with the tractor. It was delivered with the FEL attached valve. The dealer ordered the correct one and is still waiting for me to give up my tractor for a few days to install it. I wanted this valve assy cause I sold my JD445 w/front blade to purchase my BX. (haven't been disappointed). I kept the front blade so Icould use it on the BX.(Why buy one if I have one). The JD blade has hydro lift and angle, the Kubota has only hydro lift. Would be interested if anyone has done this, and how the hydro lines where connected?

JMP or anyone,
Can you post a picture of the valve assy setup that stays with the tractor? I'd like to see how Kubota's doing it.

Actually the Kubota heavy duty blade has hydro lift & angling standard. Lift is via the front quick-attach mount. I just ordered the blade - should have it next week. Attached is a picture that shows the up/down connections to the 4way valve. When I get the blade manual, I'll post the angling connections....unless someone beats me to it.
