I just put the 60" MMM on my BX-22 for the first time since I traded in the BX-2200 last fall. When the deck is raised all the way, it comes in contact with the tires. There must be some adjustment for this but after reading the manual, I have not been able to ascertain the fix.

If any of you more experienced BX tractor jockeys or present/former Kubota technicians care to comment, it will be appreciated!

jbecker,
I assume rear tires? All you can do(I think???) is verify that the front suspension links are set correctly. Do the rear links look like they are canted back??
Front link length from tip of thread on front link to back of the farthest nut on the link should be 48 mm (1.9") and equal to each other within 3/16".
Hope this helps,

Mine does the same with the bar tires. If I am leaving the mowing deck on, but not using the tractor for mowing, I set the mowing knob to TOP and then lower the deck to the resting position (still plenty high for ground clearance on most of my property).
If I am transporting from one place to another while mowing, I simply raise the deck while watching the gap between the deck and rear tires, making sure to leave at least 1/2 inch or so clearance.
Hope this helps!

I have the same setup, and no problem with the deck fully up. There is not a lot of clearance, but it does clear the bars. I would check all of the deck adjustments, the front link in particular.

I just put my 60 mmm on a few weeks ago and had to do alot of adjustments to get it right. Are the links hitting the stops when it comes all the way up? It should not if it does. There should be at least 5mm clearance between the link and the stop when the deck is all the way up. Check the right side stop for this because it is much closer than the left to the stop. (The grass chute side) If it is off you can adjust it with the double nutted bolt behind the right wheel.
If that is correct then check the level of your deck from side to side. I had to adjust mine on one side a few threads (these are the adjustable links on the left and right side. You can pull them by just removing the pins holding them .....(without removing the deck) /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif . I just measured the threads from the Square part of the link to the end of the bolt ( I think mine are both 21 mm) I then checked level from front to back and the front of my deck was doing a nosedive as it was so I adjusted the front bar nuts to 56 mm instead of the 48 they say in the book and it just set the front of the deck a hair higher than the rear. This fixed all the rubbing on mine and it mows really really good now.... nice and level. I mow on the 3.5 setting and set my deck wheels with 2 1/2 adjustment holes protruding from the top it worked out well. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I was a bit disappointed my dealer didn't do any of this for me but I guess I learned more about my BX that way. I hope this helps If not I can try to take some pics of some things if it would help.
By the way if you haven't used Slip Plate yet I highly recommend it! I bought the Quart can and brushed on two good coats and It comes clean after every mow. I did this to my deck before it was ever mowed with. Just scuffed it up with some scotch brite pads and painted it. Works Great!..... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I purchased my BX2200 in Dec of last year. My experience is the same as jlbota's. Every adjustment was way out of tolerance when I received it from the dealer. The deck was within 1/16th inch of rubbing on the rear tire. After making the adjustments described in the manual I now have 1/4 inch between the deck and the tire. Not a lot of clearance but it doesn’t rub on the tire when raised to the max. It produces a very nice cut.

I guess I haven't worried about this issue as I have adjusted to the fact that the deck will rub if raised all the way up. I also haven't had any uneven cutting issues (although my yard is not a showcase or pretty grass and maybe I wouldn't notice /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif !).
I'm glad to hear that with some adjustments, I won't have to worry about the deck rubbing. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I have a set of turf tires/wheels for use this summer, but haven't put them on as I've been tilling my garden and needed the bars. I'll be sure to make the deck adjustments before changing out the tires as it may be easier to tell when I have it right.
