BX Mower Deck boot / adapter

I just repowered my Trac-Vac with a larger engine and impeller set up that I got used. The new set up uses 8inch hose. I was using a cheap plastic Agri-Fab mower deck boot but that only works for 7inch or 6inch hoses.

I did call Trac-Vac for the MSRP of a 8inch boot for my mower and at 200$ I was looking into other options.

What size hose does the factory mower boot use?
Can any one get a detailed picture of their mower boot so I can see what other parts would be necessary for fitting to the mower (any mounts ect)

I do know that the Kubota boot and hose is 200.00 too. But I do not know what size hose it uses.

I just need the boot and mounting hardware, and from Messicks parts the boot itself might be cheaper.

saw your post, but my reply is useless. I have no idea where or how to get a boot to fit yours. It looks like you might have to make one from sheet metal and either use pop rivets or brazing method to make a boot excatly what you need.

There's a guy up near you in fact (CT) as I recall that did the same thing you did, and he custom made a boot outta sheet metal. I will do some checking to see if I can fugure out where I saw that again, and post later.

I run a BX with an [older] trac-vac with an 8" boot. there are lots of used and odd shaped trac-vac boots on the auction site mostly in the fall for a reasonable amount but you will have to modify them some to fit your deck exit hole size. you will also need to fab up some sort of mounting to your deck. these trac-vac boots are all steel and take some real punishment [ie tree's,poles, any thing else you fiind yourself to close to,plastic may be good if that Z28 is close],plastic you will replace several time's, after considering this for awhile if you don't have the time and means to make one $200 is not bad.
