I'm (obviously) new and I sincerely apologize if this has been addressed 1000 times before. But I'm frustrated and need help.

I've had my BX2660 with the 60" belly mower for about three years. I damaged the deck and it was replaced under an insurance claim. Yesterday they delivered it while I was at work.

I know I need to readjust the mowing height and anti-scalp wheels, so I go out a few minutes ago to get everything set.

The mower deck is badly unlevel. About 1-1/2" higher on the left side than on the right (discharge) side. This is true fully raised or all the way down.

Reading the manual was worthless. I've struggled to find an answer by googling it.

HELP ME! Somebody please help.

I know this must be simple. Believe it or not, I'm very mechanically inclined. I just can't figure it out and feel like an idiot.

Jeff --

There is a linkage between the three point hitch and the mower deck that is adjustable. It's on the left side, but I believe it's what you are referring to. When I adjust it, it raises/lowers the deck on both sides the same amount but doesn't level it.

Am I missing something or did I misunderstand you?

Appreciate the reply.

I understand the three point hitch has an adjustable lifting rod on the right side, but I only see how this affects rear mounted implements. Adjusting it doesn't move my mid-mount belly mower.

The only connection I can find to the three point hitch and the lift mechanism on the mower is the dedicated linkage on the left side.

If you look at the deck where the lift arms are attached. This is where the L-clips lock onto the mower deck.
Are there not adjustment nuts where the L-clips hook into the deck?
I have not had a BX in 4 years, so my memory is not too clear.

As it sits right now there are about the same number of threads exposed on the adjustment screws and the deck is off 1-1/2". If I run one all the way in and the other all the way out I can get the deck within about 3/4" of level. The manual describes these as 'fine height adjustment' screws and that's what they seem to do.

It seems someplace there must be a coarse adjustment that I'm completely missing. It could be the dealer screwed up the repair when he replaced the deck but I just don't see anything wrong.

I sincerely appreciate the reply.

You didn't say what happened with the damage.
Remove the deck. With the tractor on a flat paved surface, measure from the ground to the spring loaded lift pin on each side. These measurements should be approximately the same. If not, start looking for bent or damaged parts.

Don't mean to be rude by suggesting this....but it had me on a wild goose chase for two hours a year ago..........Have you confirmed proper/equal tire pressure in all tires? I had one rear that was way overinflated when it was delivered and the other was under inflated. It had the tractor on a tilt.
