Mowing BX Mowing (WOW!)

Finally, after months of waiting for the grass to grow, (never thought I'd say that!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif) I got to mow with the BX for the first time. Also got to remove the FEL and attached the mower. Never having done either I was a bit nervous but following the instructions worked flawlessly.

Mowing was under the my worst conditions - tall (6-8") and it had just rained.

Cut mowing time to a third. (previously Murray 14.5hp -42"
best mower in the universe......oh, that's another site and another topic) Now I have the rest of the day for bees!
Second best thing I ever did was bye this BX.

I am VERY happy!!

Dave since you mentioned that "other site" I have some questions about it you might help me with. Write me off list--trescrows@aol. Anyway, the BX is a fine mowing machine insn't it? Tall grass, wet grass it just makes quick work of it. It will windrow, of course, in tall grass but if you keep the lawn area mowed regularly that will not be a problem. I made the statement that the regional Kubota rep had told me the BX outsold the B series combined--I and others questioned that statement and still i think he was just being enthusisatic but surely if you look at all the BX's bought on this Forum/site it does seem to have some truth. There are alot of BX's out there for a tractor that has only been available for a year. Let's go mow!!!!!. J

I've mowed my 5 1/2 acres for the second time and the BX is a significant improvement over my old 20hp garden tractor. It mows faster, has much better traction, and is still stable on the slopes. It has also been great for other jobs around the property that the old mower could never do. Speaking of rain, we need rain here in north Alabama, the grass has really slowed down!
