BX Series and Flail Mowers?

I am still sorting through the issues in buying a tractor and trying to make sure the BX24 is the right one. A couple of people have suggested a flail mower would be the best for my rocky, uneven property. I have found several flail mowers including the following from AGRISUPPLY that says it will work with a 20-40HP tractor. Some communications with them indicate the BX has the required HP, but there have been some issues with the distance between the lift arms being not quite the right size on some compact tractors (26").

Is anyone using a flail mower with a BX, particularly a BX24? Is there any reason not to use a flail mower with a small tractor?

You may want to clarify the required HP needed. The BX24, although the engine gross is 23HP, it is only 17.7HP at the PTO. Do you need to climb any inclines while mowing? I can see the engine bogging down then.

I have to go fairly slow with my 24 PTO Hp and 60 Inch Flail Mower when mowing tall (2-3 ft) grass/pasture. On shorter stuff it works fine but I would think a BX is too small for that sized Flail mower.

I did ask the question about engine versus pto HP and did not get a definitive answer. I plan to go to a dealer tomorrow and ask more questions about using a flail mower with a BX. I will be using it on an incline so if PBinWA is using a Mahindra 2615 and the going is slow, then maybe the BX24 is not a machine to use with a flail mower.
