I know this subject has been discussed at length, but has there been a definite fix to this problem? My 2200 has the grease fitting, but I can't get it to take any grease. Has 170 hours on it and the tolerance must be too tight to accept any. I read the posts about removing the shock on the linkage, but they must have put it there for a reason. It's a great little tractor except for this irritating flaw. Any new feedback on this problem? Thanks

I had that trouble on mine, there was a bit of corrosion buildup on the already tight tolerence fit of the pivot and it wouldn't take the grease. I had to take up the floorboard and remove the pivot and sand the shaft and bushing bore a little to clean it up. If this doesen't help, follow the linkage back to the outer pivot point on the shaft attached to the transmission which has a snap ring on it visible under the right fender. Mine was binding here too and I keep this lubed with a good spray lubricant.

Can you get someone to slowly rock the pedal back and forth while you try to pump grease into it? You might find a particular spot wher it will start to take grease and then run some grease through to clear out any dirt.

Have you pulled the zerk fitting and tried to pump grease through it to be sure it is OK?

the fitting will do ZERO. You need to adjust the pedal by the rear tire.

I have had my BX to the dealer twice for the sticking hydro pedal and they cannot fix it. Both times Kubota was involved in directing the dealer on how to fix the problem. The hydro still sticks.

In discussions with Kubota (written & verbal), they insist that it is merely an adjustment and they deny that it is a common problem with the BX.

My observation and experience is that Kubota is not quick to step up to the plate when they have design, quality or dealership issues.

Another example.... last spring someone on TBN pointed out their MMM was not properly lubed when they took delivery. I checked my mower and it was not lubed properly either. I talked to my dealer and they said that they were not aware that the MMM spindles were not filled at the factory. I sent Kubota an Email with photos and documentation, (not nasty) asking if they would extend the warranty on my MMM for one cutting season since the mower was not lubed properly by Kubota or by the dealer. They never responded to my Email. When I didn't receive a response, I called but they never returned my call.

I bet one or two lawsuits on personal injuries (which are only a matter of time) from the sticking pedal would encourage Kubota to return calls about this.
Next they will be sending directions to the nearest JD dealer with every set of manuals. Seems like that's what they want from the way they are "servicing" their customers.

I called Kubota on this pedal issue and they called me back within minutes! They then called my dealer on it. This was 5 months ago.

The fix takes about 10 minutes....if going slow. This topic has been discussed in great detail (do a search). The fix works and the pedal is better then ever!

So what is the miracle 10 minute fix? Spraying the linkage? Removing the shock? The anticipation is killing me!
