BX toplink mods

Sorry, six dogs, but I'm afraid that the nuts are loose when I try turning the top link. It just seems to be that the threads are extremely tight or may be misaligned or something like that.

Next guess is damaged, maybe "stretched" threads from a heavy implement. Unthread the ends and see what that looks like. That has to be the answer.

Kubota top links are not the highest quality in the world. Mine is pretty bent from overwork, but it still moves pretty free when lubed. I havent seen any "stretched" threads, and Im pretty hard on mine.

Have you lubed yours up? If so what with and how much? Have you tried moving each of the ends when off the machine? Does one end move more free than the other?

My top link turns so much better know with the grease fittings. Everyone with a BX should install fittings in their top link.

I like the idea, but I just use Fluid Film on mine.

I thought it was easy enough to do but I did not think there would be much benefit from it. The top link turns better now that what it did when it was new. This is one of the best low buck things you can do to a BX.
