BX with Herd Feeder/Seeder (pictures)

BX spreader questions seem to come up, so I thought I'd share my new set-up. This is the Model I-92 electric spreader on a BX2660. The electrical box and on/off and a speed control rheostat. I put the box together. Have not spread anything yet. Power comes from the extra circuit at the back of the BX, where I connected a cigarette lighter adapter plug. Plan to add a 3-point sprayer in the spring.

Nice set up, wow is that what they look like when it is new, so clean. I have the PTO version of the spreader, make sure you clean the unit after each use. You may want to make sure all electic connections are water proof. I use the garden hose to wash everything both inside and outside, then use a leaf blower to dry everything and then spay the inside with wd 40. Also make sure you grease the unit including the gate at the bottom of the unit. Enjoy the new tool and thanks for sharing.

The controls on that thing look like Uncle Rico's time machine in Napoleon Dynamite.
Overall, nice clean set up.

The rheostat came as a loose part. When the dealer handed it to me, and as God as my witness, I said "looks like that's right out of the 1935 catalog" LOL.

Also, that on-off switch is a dead knock-off of a pull-push headlight switch in a 1960's dodge.

I'm hoping they are old-school rugged. Time will tell.
