I have a BX1850. FEL, 3pt 51" snow blower, 54" MMM, 48" rear blade, chains for the rear. (And a John Deere) The BX quality is everything. The JD is overpriced and the local dealer is less than helpfull. The JD has been nothing but trouble. The BX has been flawless. I have four acres to mow. She mows two and I mow two. A long drive to clear in winter. Don't let the 18 hp deisel leave you looking for more HP. This thing will impress you. It can move the deepest Minnesota snow. The deisel engine is the key. I was ready to purchase a B or an L. After the demo, It's a BX.

I agree, love my BX1860. My buddy bought a JD 2520 on sat., and I drove it on his test drive. Nice tractor, but I tried to convince him that I haven't needed and wouldn't be able to take advantage of the HP and that he could save thousands of dollars. I'm pretty sure when we are working them side by side he will see what I am talking about. One funny thing that he kept pointing out was lift capacity. The JD has more, but the buckets are identical size on these two tractors. Kind of like putting 1000lbs of dirt in a 400lb sack!!!!!

A 2520 should have a 61" bucket on it and yours a 48".

Welcome to TBN. Glad you like the BX, but I'm not sure what to make of your first post. What model JD do you have? Are you comparing like apples here? If so, why do you have two similar machines? Were they both purchased new and used in an identical manner? So many questions...
