This BX1500 is about 12 years old. Set the brake the other day and now it is frozen on. Pedal moves freely and lock lever operates normally locking and unlocking the pedal. Any one with knowledge of this system, suggestions or similar problem? Thanks for the help!

There is an adjustment rod/ link going from the pedal to a lever back just above the right axle. The rod is pinned to this lever. ... Does the rod move back and forth as you operate the pedal? Is the rod still connected to the lever?

All the linkage appears to be connected and normal.

Did you try putting it in reverse and backing up? Does the pedal come back up to its normal released position? It could be that your brake friction and pressure plate disks are worn beyond their limits and it allowed the balls in the brake cam plate(s) to ramp up out of their recesses, wedging the brakes on.

Pull up a parts breakdown of the brake assembly on Messick's and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Pedal does work and feel normal.
Don't believe that it could be excessive wear as brakes are so rarely used. Thanks

It seemed to be an issue of my tranny fluid being low. Tried coasting downhill in neutral and wheels didn't lock up as it did in-gear. Added fluid and now all seems normal. Hope no permanent damage. Thanks to everyone for the help!
