After initially posting this, I see that the question has been handily addressed.

"I suppose I could figure this out; but if there are particulars one ought to know about, perhaps they will be forthcoming.

Where is the best place to start, in removing the deck? I see a number of possibilities.

Park sideways on a slight hill. Lower the mower to the ground. Release the front bracket and remove the link to the mower. Return the bracket to lock position. Pull the spring pins at the rear of the deck to disconnect from the lift arms. Raise the lift arms all the way to let you get at the pto shaft. Using 1 hand on each side of the coupling squeeze the collar firmly toward the coupling and pull and wiggle the assembly to get it to move off the pto spline. That last can be the hard part. [Make sure you lube it well before reinstalling the mower.] Pull the mower out the downhill side. Park the tractor downhill of the mower to reinstall. This way you dont have to fool with swiveling the wheels.
