Greetings everyone. I just acquired a brand new set of AG tires that came off a BX1830. Knowing that they are slightly larger than what is called for in the BX1500 spec sheet, I not only purchased them (online), but when they came in, I had my dealer fill them with Calcium. I got the call yesterday that they we all set to be picked up. My dealer said I shouldn't have any performance issues (since the tires are slightly larger). I was quite excited to see the improved traction performance from turfs to AG's in the snow storm we had in southern NE yesterday. Before the snow started, I changed out the back tires. When I went to change out the front tires, I found the inner wheel well (rim) is deeper that the turf wheel by about an inch. With that, the tire would not fit over the front axle hub. Does anyone know if a special spacer is required (as the current BX1500 turf has a 1/4" plate space between the wheel and the hub), seeing as my BX1500 and BX1830 parts manual show the front axle on both to be identical. Or should I suck up my ignorance and purchase the BX1500 AG's for $90 each? On another note, plowing my driveway this morning of the 8" of heavy wet snow with the rear AG's installed, my traction improved by at least 100%. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks.
