Oil & Fuel BX1830 pauses while mowing

While mowing with my BX1830 which is 5years old and has 780 hours on it . I am mowing and then I experience a slight pause but it keeps going. I have changed the fuel filters , and even added a gas additive. I mow for approx. an hour and then a slight pause. Sometimes I can mow for 2 hours and no pause. I've checked all electrical connections and everything seems intact.
I was wondering if anyone on here has experienced this. I really appreciate reading on this site because so many of you really know whats going on. I would appreciate hearing your comments. Thanks.

hmm two things comes to mind here. first is gas additives? do you mean diesel additives?
the other thing is I wonder if you have one of those older seats that makes you feel like you are sliding forward that makes seat safety switch keep kicking in?

Check your seat safety switches, my BX was doing the same thing.

I used diesel additives, and I did check the seat safety switch to make sure it had full contact. Thanks for your reply.

Don't want to beat it up...but, even if your seat switch is making good contact, your butt may slip forward and you are not realizing it. That is what they are trying to say. Use to happen to me, then new seat style. Keeps my butt in place.

what we are trying to say is that there was a recall on seats to swap out explaining the issue you are having. Can you post a pic of the seeat, maybe one of us can tell quickly if it the right one or not.

If it's like my BX2350, you can reduce the spring pressure by removing one of the two spring leafs. My 135 lbs, particularly in the old style seat, couldn't keep enough down pressure!
