Kubota BX 1850
Don't get me wrong I love my BX1850 , Kubota took care of one of its short comings the seat. The other I need help with. I don't have the most even lawn to cut , its pretty bumpy. Also when I used the loader , on one occasion ( because of overzealous use ) I had too much in the bucket and knocked the one of the frt tires off the bead. ( I know back it off !)
I was longing for bigger wheels ( lets face it the frts wheels are small). I am using turf tires and I know they are not the best for a loader , but nessary for my mowing. I believe larger diameter wheels ( both frt and rear ) would help the ride and some of the loader issue .
Do the BX2350 wheels fit the Bx 1850 , and if all four were changed be suitable ?

I don't know if you can put the BX2350 wheels on the BX1850, but since the wheel base of the 1850 is slightly less than the 2350, you may have mower deck clearance issues if you have the 54" deck. Just something to watch out for. Also, I'm not sure why, but my BX1860 has "1860" had written in some kind of marking dye on the transaxle. I'm thinking the gear ratio's are different on the 18xx vs 23xx machines and they mark them to make sure they're not installed in the wrong machine.

I think you may be right on the deck issue , I see the 2350 is a few inches longer than the 1850 .I started using a three point rear mower a few years back , but I do remember the wheels being close to the deck when I was using the mid point mower. If the deck is the only issue I will be ok using the three point rear mower. If the ratio is different it may be an issue.
Thanks for the reply

Beware: The gear ratios are different! The OD of the tires on the 2350 are 2" larger (front and rear) but the increase in circumference is not proportional, therefore the gear ratios must be adjusted to keep the ground speed of the front tires the same as the rears.

BTW, while the front wheels and tires on the 2350 are larger, the rear wheels are the same as the 1860---only the tires are larger.

Is it a big deal ( read expensive )to change gear ratios? Sounds like I should just trade up huh ?

Don't bother. Just get a 2350 or upgrade to a B-series.
