BX22 engine question

After doing my 100 hour service, I was looking over the engine to see if everything was in good shape, and I noticed a nut missing over a strip of metal that is attached over the injectors. Attached is a pic of this. Anybody know what this is? Thanks for your help!

There should be a black wire with a red stripe on it connected to that bolt. Should be your glow plugs. Good luck. Rich /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looks like you're dead on, Rich. Thanks! Explains why the thing was hard startin' in the colder temps.

Now, question #2. I found the glow plug wire, but there's also a white wire with a plastic connector on it. Anybody know what this is? Pic attached.

Mine does not connect to anything eather,but mabe its for test insterments at the dealer ? Hope starts better in the cold. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Rich

i have the same white wire w/plug not attached.
my dealer said it is not used on the BX.

You guys are HUGE! I just "reconnected" the glow plug bar and the old BX fired up quicker than the day it came to my door (and it's about 30 degrees outside). Thanks again!!!
