Mowing BX2200 60" mower deck

The support bracket that holds the gear box on the mid mount mower cracked and broke where the bolt holes are, and i need to replace it (left side as your sitting on it) I have two questions;

1) isn't this a kind of a strange piece to have break? I ordered a replacement ($49), kind of expensive fo an "L" shaped piece of aluminum though.

2) while at the dealer I was going to order a some new blades for it since I was there, but they wanted $33 apiece for them, I need three. My question is; Is there a source you guys use other than the dealer to buy blades? $99 dollars seems a little steep to me. Or maybe Im just cheap

You can them anywhere other than a Kabota dealer that is, for under 20.00 I buy gators for 16.50 each on the internet. Sounds like this dealer is a little over the top with his mark-up

Umm, where is anywhere, and how do you know what size / type?

I have never used Gators, but anytime I have used other than OEM blades they didn't hold up as well, so I only use Kubota or John Deere for my mowers. I would however be interested in hearing the experience of others in case there is an OEM equivalent out there.

I run Gators all the time and have seen no difference in longevity. I would Google lawn mower blades for Kabota tractors and give the the length of your blade. Do you have one off to measure length and hole dia.?

Try this link and download either the PDF by size or OEM mfg. I believe they have both standard and gator type for the BX decks, though not 100% sure. These are made by Oregon and I have them on my wheel horse. They are better than the Toro OEM blades in my opinion. Dont have them on the BX yet, but I will be switching at some point. I think Oregon makes a nice blade for the most part.

Once you have the part number, you can do a web search for the lowets price.
