BX2200 and plow

Does anyone have any experience with a BX2200 using a 3point 1 or two bottom plow. I need to turn up some ground and am reluctant (too poor) to spend the money on a rototiller. it seems to me i could accomplish the same thing with a plow and disc which, around here, are fairly inexpensive and available used. I haven't seen any discussion on this.

yes i plow my garden with 12" molboard plow then till with wallk behind tiller.the plow goes much deeper about 8-10". tractor could probobly pull a 14" no problem,but i would not go with a two bottom,powers not the problem but traction is,i do need 4/wd when i go that deep. As for a disc i would only go with 4'.

Home depot has brinly products up this way,they are cat.0 but fit cat.1,the pins on plow are just a little smaller in size.I picked mine up used,so i'm not sure if pins were changed or not.but to the best of my knowlage they are standard cat.0. brinly hardy does have a web page,cost is very low for new products compared to cat.1 products from a tractor dealer.

I have a 3 shank all purpose plow, and my Bx does ok here in georgia . You have to work the lift a little because it will sink about 8 ". Then traction is the issue. I also have a 4 ft disc harrow by tufline. I had to add about 250 lbs but it does ok considering this clay is like cement.

plow first let it winter over then disc or till. i saw a 2 bottom plow yesterday fown the street for a 3 pt hitch for 200 $

Interesting post to me.. What kind of tires do you have on the 2200. I would think turfs would clog immediately.. Always interested in what the 2200 can do.......
