Oil & Fuel BX2200 fuel leak

After 65 hrs of use, the tractor developed a fuel leak. There is a container between the main fuel line from the tank and the fuel filter. The fuel lines are not leaking but the container itself. Just wondering if any of you BX owners have experienced the same problem......

Acording to my dealer, it is a fuel bladder(that's what he called it) that is the problem. You should be getting a recall notice from Kubota on it. The recall notice calls it a MANDITORY REPLACEMENT CAMPAIN, FUEL TANK 2. When you get the recall, call your dealer and they will take care of it. In your case, call your dealer and tell them that your fuel tank is leaking and you would like it replaced under the recall. My recall notice was dated 9/22/2000. I don't have a leak yet but my dealer is setting up a time to come to my house to do the recall work. Also, if you have a problem with your 3 point hitch, they will retrofit your tractor with modified parts from Kubota for this problem. There was a service bulletin issued on this as well. Your dealer should be aware of both of these problems.

Do you have any idea what the retrofit for the 3 point hitch consist of?
I installed the fuel bladder myself Monday and it took about 30-40 minutes. The instructions that came with it were excellent.

Aha, I found it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Look in the Kubota Owning forum for "BX Series 3 Point Hitch Service Bulletin." And I see while I was looking, someone else beat me to it.

do a search under the words "service bulletin" in the Other Kubota Forum and set the date for 3 months back. I posted all 3 pages as .jpg files for the 3 point service bulletin. When you double click on the file it will open out in your web browser or file viewer of choice that you have installed. Look for kj33 as the poster. Good Luck.
