Oil & Fuel BX2200 Fuel Pump Noise

Does everybody's BX2200 fuel pump make a noise like a starter solenoid when the battery is too weak, as soon as you put the key in the on position? This is my first non-gas engine and I just want to make sure that I've been told the correct thing. Nothing seems to be wrong, just want to be sure that this is normal.

I wouldn' about any noise that only occurs with a low battery. Most vehicles I have don't have the nice click of the 50's cars they make all kinds of weird groans when the battery has been discharged too much to start or operate the electric pumps.

Do you have trouble moving the PTO lever between
rear to mid to both?

There are 2 noises that you will hear when you turn on the key of either a BX1800 or 2200. The 1st noise is a rather loud click, this is a Solenoid that is located on the injector pump, you will also hear this solenoid click again a short time after the key is turned off, the click, click, clicking noise is an electric fuel pump located under the tractor. I'm not sure why it is there, could only guess that it is due to the strange arrangement of fuel tanks, you have the main fuel tank which is the one you fill up, you then have the much talked about 2nd fuel tank or bladder, my guess is the injector pump won't have enough lift to pull the fuel through this whole arrangement. Also to go along with the electric fuel pump is 2 fuel filters, one located before the electric fuel pump and the 2nd filter a little ways down the line after the electric fuel pump, a tip I received from my dealer concerning the fuel filters is there is a Fram replacement or one packaged by Newholland that will do just fine and is about $10 - $12 bucks cheaper than the one that says Kubota. Some of my terminology may be a bit off, I'm just learning more about diesel engines, been fooling around with gas engines most of my life.
