BX2200 - odds of 1 in ??

Using the rake the other day, just happened to hear a metallic clink when lifting the 3pth. Found the right upper lift arm's hairpin clip on the ground. What happened - the lift arm pin evidently rotated into a position that had the clip inverted and at such an angle that the straight end of the clip contacted the rear cross support and was pushed out!

I have lost many clips and pins because of these type of problems in the past. I just keep spares for just this reason. I have even though about welding a loop on the end of pins and hooking a cable to them like on the ROPS. Loosing pins and clips is just one of those things you learn to not get upset about. I even loose them before I even get to use them.... I know that they are in the garage somewhere, just not where. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can't remember exactly where I got 'em, but I bought a bunch of pins that close & hook on the end, sorta' like a diaper pin, 'cept the end isn't sharp or capped over. They're the same diameter as my regular pins. You might want to do a search. I'll check some catalogs & see if I can figure out where they came from. They sure are handy.
