OK I am close to taking the plunge. I have gained great insight from everyone here. Thanks.
My use will be helping me get our new house that is just starting to be built, get done. Site clean, landscaping and all the finish grading. Then all the normal care, upkeep and improvments over the next couple of years (or however long it takes) to landscape, plant, mow and alter our 2.5 acres into our "little house on the prairie". Including regular garden tending, snow removal, mowing, 250' gravel driveway maintenance, and playing...er, work that the property will require.
Here is my norrowed down choice.
New BX2200, 60" MMM, FEL, Box Blade $13,300 + Tax
390 Hour B1750HSD, Hydro, PS, 4X4, Bi Speed Turn, 60 MMM, New Woods 1006 FEL, Box Blade $10,500-$11,000 + Tax
Drove both today and the BX is a very nice unit but not as industrial as the 1750. BX has more creature comforts, 1750 has Position control and slightly more capable loader. I felt the 1750 was/is more tractor, however not as refined.
1750 is in very good shape. Normal wear, one owner at the dealer who originally sold it and has serviced it.
$2500 - $3000 buys a lot of stuff. I am paying cash so the financing from Kubota is not an issue.
I would welcome anyone's thoughts before I decide.
Oh, I am currently a Deere guy and EVERY other house on the street where we are building is a Deere house... I'm wanting to be the rebel... in Orange.
