Hi Bob,

Looks like your price is the lowest I've seen for a BX2200. Could you give me the name of your dealer and a sales contact if possible ? I am in Massachusetts and I'm beginning to shop. Appreciate your help and good job negotiating !

Not sure which part of Indiana you are in but I bought my L3410 from Edwards Equipment in Danville and there price was good and they are nice to deal with, better than the other Indy dealers from my experiance. Might check them out. 1-317-745-6427

Hello, I bought mine from Joiner International in Statesboro, Georgia for $9,750. No FEL or implements except the deck. I look forward to a nice box blade rig. Ahhh, I remember the days when the grass was green and thick instead of cutting dust.

Now to hit the lotto for that L48 . . .

I would not purchase the 54 inch MMM. The 60 inch will actually allow you to cut in tighter and take fuller advantage of the BX's manuverability and it's power. Get the 60!!!!! Also, the price may be just a tad high but the market has firmed up on these BX's and despite some who insist that it is a riding mower the word is out--the BX is awsome! J

Tres, two reasons for the 54 incher. First, I've been known to mow my entire yard (such as it is) with a Ryobi string trimmer and less than two tanks of gas. Obviously, I'm planning on more yard and more effort to mow (I do it currently maybe three times a year).

Second, and more important - the shed I'm planning on keeping the tractor in (when I finally get the ramp built next week) has a 60 inch doorway. If I lift up the discharge chute flap, the 54 inch will fit; the 60 inch is 63 (or 65 -- going from memory) inches minimum size.

Tom_Trees,

Good foresight on your part. Don't forget to check the door height for the ROPS clearance. The height is different if it is folding or not as well.

Just a thought,
Michael

I still would not get the 54 inch deck. It will not cut as close and as small a radius as the 60 inch.
Here is what I would do--get the BX and 60 inch deck. Open the door of your shed and then hop on your new BX. Rev her up and then just drive right in. Warning, there will be some loud noises --those will be the shed adjusting itself to fit around the BX. You may have a problem closing the door but nothing a little duct tape and a hammer can't fix. If by chance this solution is not a good one for you then get on your BX and then ram the shed with the loader. A few whacks of the loader should have your shed in total disarray. Then go in the house and tell the wife that somehow you accidently bumped the shed and it fell down. Put on a poor, woe upon me look /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif and she will give you the check book and you can go to the lumber store and buy a new shed. Of course you will be more careful in the future /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif . J
