Price Check BX2200 Price???

Well I made the jaunt out to the Kubota Dealer yesterday to take a look at the BX2200. I got to drive it around the parking lot and did some playing. The dealer had a used one on the lot that they had just recieved. Here are the prices I was quoted.

New BX2200 w/FEL, 60" MMM & rear blade for $12,800
Used BX2200 149 hours w/same attachments for $11,500

Are these prices reasonable? Is there room for some negotiating? With financing rate the new one would end up being the same payment, so I am considering the new one more than the used.

I was quoted $13,500 for the same setup in the Grand Rapids area by two differen't dealers ( I think that's retail). However, Kubota of G.R. came down to around $13,100 over the phone. He claimed that he could meet/beat any quoted deal. I'm heading over to their open house this thursday 3/28 to check things out in person. Haven't driven a BX yet.

I agree, the price difference is not significant enough to go the used route. Plus, you'd be the one breaking it in. I'm sure others will chime in

Thanks Kevin ~ It is good to see a comparible price here in Michigan. I got the previously mentioned price from a dealer in Romeo, MI.

MIMark - I'm curious as to who/where the dealer is in Romeo. Your impressions of them? When I get ready to pull the trigger(BX 22?), I'd like to have another dealer to speak to. I've already made preliminary contact with dealers in Novi and Carleton(get my old Cub stuff from them). Thanks Chuck

I think you're getting a pretty good price. I'm in SE WI, and I looked at three dealers---two of them gave me $14-$14.5K prices for similar packages (and they both let me know that I shouldn't even THINK about asking them for a price break). Thankfully, I found another dealer in Woodstock IL who came down and even handily beat the price I was quoted from Carver (which was higher pretty much due to shipping). It was $12.1K for the BX/60"MMM w/o the rear blade (I'm going to pick up a box scraper elsewhere).

I think the new would be the way to go here---the prices are pretty close.

Chuck (worksmart) ~ I apologize. It was not in Romeo. It was in Dryden, MI. The name of the Kubota dealer there is Rosy Bros. They are right on Dryden Rd, can't miss all of the ORANGE when heading down the road. I have heard very good things about them and they seem to be very fair. It was pretty cold here on Saturday and the sales rep did not hesistate to go outside with us and let us take the BX for a test drive. He did not try to build up the tractor or tear it down and suggest anything bigger. Of course he did state that he really liked the 2710 that my friend has but he also stated he likes the BX and that it is a good little machine for the price.

Back in December 2001 I paid in South Jersey for a NEW BX2200 with 60 MMM and FEL $11,650.00

I recently got prices from several dealers for BX2200, 60"MMM, FEL, and grill guard. For this package my quotes ranged from $12,700 down to $12,050. Guess where I bought/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I already had a rear blade but you should be able to pick one up that will work with the BX for around $200.00 or less.
It seems prices vary in different parts of the country/world and my area seems to be in the middle somewhere.

Mark, FYI....I paid $12,000 for my BX2200 with grill guard,block heater,FEL, and 54" MMM here in Green Bay last month........
