Kubota BX2200
Hi all,

I've received close to 60" of snow thus far and after a couple 20+ storms, I was able to convince the wife that a snowblower for the BX would be a "smart" (read "fun") purchase. So...with that being said...

What are you guys' thoughts on a good blower for a BX. As well, I'm curious to hear what sizes others are using and what works the best for a BX.

Thanks!

I've been using a Buhler 50" 3pt on the back of an bx1850 for a few years now with no troubles. It's more of a necessity than for fun.

I went with a rear blower because I didn't want to lose the loader which is sometimes needed to bust up the super wind packed drifts that the blower would otherwise ride over the top of.

Rear tire chains made my life easier as well.

I just went with the BX2750D front mount 50" blower this year. Had about an 8 inch storm of the heaviest wettest snow I've ever seen and it handled far better than I ever could have imagined. Threw it a good 25 feet.

I have a rear mount blower and I may be doing a rethink about it as my health has declined in the last year to a point that i can't turn back enough to operate for any length of time. I think it may be prudent to sell my blower and see what it's going to cost me for a front mount Kubota blower. I know that the front unit is going to cost me but that's the way it turns out when you get older and then sick. I'm not complaining as I will keep my little orange friend nomatter what happens, heck I may be buried with the little brute! LOL

I would go to wally mart as the wireless back up cameras and screens are becoming less and less expensive to buy and keep your rear blower.

The folks on plow site that buy and use them are very happy with them and I believe they are under way under $150 USD complete.

you could attach it to the Rops on the side and aim to watch the action slightly in front of the blower, and as you are nit backing uo that fast it will save your back and neck from muscle strain.

Discussing one specific brand that I have seen at the Empire Farm Days being Pronovost from Quebec:

A rear mount Pronovost PUMA Model 54" or 64" would be sized properly for the BX2200.

Pronovost offers a front loader mounted 54H or 64H with a quick attach plate for the snow blower as well.

The NY farm show is next week and I can find out if Tudor and Jones will be bringing any small Pronovost blowers as quite often they will sell machinery off the farm show floor and the buyer can take posession of it the minute the show ends or sooner.

The wireless back up cameras from wally mart are of very good quality apparently and bargains can be had as they are much less expensive to purchase and the folks on plowsite that buy them are very happy with them.

Attaching it to the side of the ROPS would allow you to watch the area in front of snow blower easily.

Kubota 2750 C has been nothing short of miraculous. I used to get real stressed out when it snowed hard because of the length of my driveway (nearly 400 ft). It's no longer an issue at all. Even with the way above average snowfall we've had in NJ this season.

I had a 3 pt Pronovost PUMA Model 54" for 2 seasons and then upgraded to the 50" 2750 front blower. Going forward is a lot easier then going backwards.:D The only bad thing with a blower is the 1st time you blow into the wind you will want a cab.

If you can hold off until the late spring you will find the best buy on snow blowers in particular the 3 pt models.
