BX2200
Similar to many of the old threads, I have had the problem of everything powering up and the starter just clicking, but then starting after multiple turns of the key. Today's problem was similar, but a little different, then got worse.
My son was mowing today, and he shut the tractor down to dump the catcher bags. When he went to start it back up, everything powered up, except the glow plug light, and there was no click from the starter.
I did the check of all the battery and cable connections. I unhooked each of them and I cleaned them and lubed then, as there was some corrosion in a couple connections. When I tried to start it again, everything powered up like normal, but when I turned the key to the start position, there was a loud pop, and now there is no power at all.
I checked the fuses in the holder by the battery and they are all fine.
Looking for direction on what popped and why the starter would not click at all before the pop.

I would start looking for skidmarks from the pop.

Probably a loose ground someplace.

ckeck yor ground on the frame and all the wire on the starter or the battery is to weak

Remove all connections, clean thoroughly, replace, without lube.

It would be best to investigate functionality of wiring, connections, fuses, etc using a volt meter. Do you own one?

While the battery terminal to wire connector may now be clean, there is no guarantee the interface between battery clamp and wire itself is good. This would hold true for any electrical connection.

I'd also double check the continuity of the fuses as sometimes a visual test isn't enough to confirm a break in continuity.

Our BX2200 has chronic nuisance of failure to turn the starter without many tries and even then sometimes won't turn. I have loosened and retightened the cables at the starter end and ground to the frame and that seemed to fix the problem every time. Probably 3 or 4 such sequences in the last few years. But ours never clicked when it refused to turn, it just made NO noise at all. You might check/clean your battery terminals if you haven't. If it is clicking, that sounds more like a low battery. Also, next time it happens try jumper cables to a strong battery or other vehicle. If it starts right up then I'd suspicion the battery even if it sometimes works.

You say you checked fuses, but did you check the one down by the starter? It is inside one of the wire looms covered in black tape. Seems like the only time my 2200 was completely dead, it was that fuse.
