Kubota BX2200
I have a 2004 BX2200 with a steering cylinder that needs replacing or rebuilding. Apparently there was a recall on the cylinder because it would bypass in the cylinder and not steer (on mine to the left) unless you cranked the steering wheel about three revolutions. Kubota would replace the cylinder on warranty, but wouldn't cover the labor. Anyway, I bought the tractor used and the warranty is long since gone. Before I replace the cylinder ($$) I want to try and rebuild it. Once I have the cylinder off, what's the easiest way to remove the ram? Anybody got some tips? Am I wasting my time trying to rebuild it and should I just bite the bullet and buy a new cylinder?
