BX2200 Tires?

I'm in the process of buying a Kubota BX2200 with FEL, Front Mount Snow Blower and 5' scrapper blade. I'll probably purchase a mower deck for it in the spring next year. I'm getting the turf tires with it but my brother in law (who has a hst B7200) says that I should also buy a set of Ag tires and wheels for the front. He has been using the ags. in the front and turfs in the rear on his tractor for years and says it makes a huge difference in the snow. Is it OK to mix the type of tires on the front and rear as long as they are the correct size? Has anyone else been doing this? Thanks for your input.

The important thing to remember about the size of the tires is the ratio between the fronts and the rears. The physical sizes are different between ags and turfs, so the ratios would be wrong if you just mix them. I think the ags are taller than the turfs, so this would mess up the ratios unless you went to a different size.

I have just ordered a BX2200D 4WD with snow brush,front 47" broom and hard cap w/heat and 60" belly mower. I have mine coming with ag tires for better grip and I will use them to cut grass as well because the 47 aceres is all hard. So if your grass is of hard surface use ag tires.I do not recommned mixing tires at all, but thats me.If your not sure just get two sets. Let me know how you like the snow thrower because I also might get one for heavier snow.

Just get the ags and be done with it. You will find that unless you are really particular about your grass or that your lawn is especially soft the ags will do just fine for you. They have a wider profile and are quite soft compared to ags on larger tractors I have seen. They will greatly increase your available traction. J
