I bent ( Don't really know how) the top link on my BX2200 the other day while running the aerator. I had the side that goes to the aerator out a bit but not to the end of the threads. Bent the end and I had to straighten it with the trusty sledge hammer in a vise. Looked for a new top link in Northern and Tractor Supply to no avail. Called my local pirate and was told the price was $116 + SH to the dealer. Man are they kidding or what $116 for a cat one top link when they sell everywhere else for $20 to $40. Man what a rip, I think our BX series tractors should use standard Cat. one equipment without having to go to a special type or brand of implements. I called around and found a top link cat. one from a JD dealer they use it on their new BX rival. The pin adjusts from 12.5 inches to 19 inches. I will pickm it up tomorrow and see how it looks. Price $36.00. Come on Kubota get your collective heads out of your **** canal and give use a break. We all pay good hard earned mony for our toys( I mean tractors) so how about a company look at the cost of the top link. Anyone else find a replacement for the top link? Scaper

IF YOU HAVE A TRACTOR SUPPLY IN YOUR AREA. YOU MIGHT TRY THERE. THEY CARRY THEM IN
STOCK.

I bent mine also, but just live with it now as it wasn't too bad. I only loose an inch or so of adjustment. I did it by raising the unit all the way up with a 3-pt 2" receiver hitch I had made. I ended up modifying the hitch by cutting out some material so it won't happen again.

There was another thread that also discussed this, it is

Hope this helps. I agree on the highway robbery for a replacement. Nice to know you found a JD one for less, I will have to keep that in mind.

I am finding that Kubota gouges its loyal customers on all parts that are unique to their tractors. A few weeks ago the PTO shaft on my MMM came off and damaged the hydro filter and the brake linkage. After examining the yoke that connects the PTO shaft to the mid PTO spline shaft, I discovered that the yoke was not locking properly. I called my dealer to check on availability of the part and he informed me that the price of a new yoke is $135. The part is unique to Kubota so they know that they can charge whatever price they want. Kubota eventually replaced the yoke under warranty (tractor has 50 hrs) but the price they charge for the yoke is outrageous.

I'm not familiar with the top link on your tractor, but seems to me there are 3 parts to the top link. If I'm not mistaken (as usual) you can but the end pieces and if it's too long you could cut it off... just a though.
No where in owning anything does it say parts are cheap. I hate it too, but buy a car part...high.
