Kubota BX2200
my dealer let me demo the bx2200 over the labor day weekend and i put about 17 hours on it. afterwards, i feel like it's the machine i need. i have 27 steep acres that i'm taming a little bit and intend to grow grapes on one of the south facing slopes. the bx worked fine bush hogging with a 48" bush hog and cut the lawn nicely w/ the MMM. i think i would use a FEL and i need a method to remove snow. the blower appears too expensive for now so i thought i would try out the rear blade. my drive is about 650 ft of gravel. i also hooked a trailer to the BX and hauled around about 600 pounds to test the traction and strength and it did well. i
will use the trailer for hauling firewood out of the woods.
at this point, any input is welcome. i'm about ready to pull the trigger.

thanks,

Go for it, Charlie. 17 hours should be enough to know whether you like it, and sounds like you did.

I think you'll really like the stability of the BX. With a 650 ft drive, I'd be thinking about a front blade, especially if the drive is on a slope. It just seems that driving backwards that much would be a literal pain in the neck -- nor would it be as safe as driving forward.
