The steering cylinder is in front of the front axle on my new BX. On either end of this cylinder are rubber boots that attach to the cylinder and the steering shaft slides through. They seem to be pretty exposed to weeds, etc and I'm concerned as to how bad it would be if they were to get torn. I've looked over other, larger framed Kubota's with this setup and I see that they have a shield that covers the boots and the shaft that attach to the front axle. I see no easy way of doing this on my tractor. I have a rather large meadow i want to clear and there are lots of wild raspberry growing that i'm pretty sure will make short work of those boots. Should I be worried about this???? And if so, does anyone have any idea what i can do to protect them? Thanks!
