BX2200 VS BX2230

Can anyone tell me if the BX2230 seat goes back further ( Ie more leg room) than the BX2200. I drove my neighbors BX2200 yesterday and it seemed cramped to me. I'm six foot and I felt like I was on a smaller riding mower. Today I went by the mall and our local Kubota dealer had a BX2230 on display. I sat on it and it seemed like there was more leg room.Both tractors had the seat all the way back. I'm looking at a used BX2200 but might would opt for a new BX2230 if the leg room was greater.

I have a BX2200 and I am 6' 4" and have all kinds of leg room and don't feel cramped at all. I also have a Curtis soft side cab on mine. I have heard a lot of coments about the tractor not being big enough for a taller person and I don't see a problem. There have been times when I have been doing work on the tractor for 4 plus hours with no problem. If you can get a good deal on the used BX2200 I would grab it.

I used a piece of scrap 3/4 in. plywood slighty larger than the seat holddown bolt pattern - bolted the seat to the ply, moved the ply back a coupla inches, bolted the ply to the original seat mounts. This raised the seat slightly and provided more backward travel. Simple, cheap, effective.

My B2400 seat has 2 sets of mounting holes on the bottom of seat. When I first got the tractor it seemed a little cramped, but after moving seat back to the other set of holes ( only 1-2" or so ) it made a marked difference in the leg room.

Someone on here posted modding their BX seat by bolting a 1x2 (or bigger)metal tube on edge to each side. They'd posted a pic also. I thought I might need to do that, but found I did not.
