bx2200 wires under seat

Hello,

There are 3 wires under the seat of my bx 2200. The one wire I connected a work light too.

Another wire has a male connector on it.
The last wire has a female connector on it.

I plugged the male wire connector into the female wire connector and the hst light on the dash came on.

I unplugged them and of course the light went out.

Any ideas what those wires are for and why the HST light would come on when they are connected?

I don't remember the wire color, but I think they were black.

As stated, theres been many a post on here awhile back that stated either the European or Japanese marketed BX's came with an HST temp sensor that would light up should the HST overheat. Don't know why the North American marketed BX's don't have it as it would be great to know if the HST was running too hot. You can't have TOO many gauges/indicators.
