Tractor
bx2200
i have been looking for quite sometime for a small tractor
and loader. i was figuring i would have to make a 10 hour
drive somewhere when a neighbor cam to me about a bx2200.
he has one so i am familiar with the model.( 0.15 )miles from my driveway
was a bx2200 with loader 60" deck hardly used 550+ hours and
fiberglass canopy. the bad been sitting outside since husband
died. some fade seat tore bad hose or two on loader, need powersteering
hose and fluid/filter change.$4000.00 later its in my driveway.
usually my luck does not go this way but i will take it. im just
not fond of local kubota dealer.

Well, I am happy for your good fortune, because you did do well. I do hope, however, that you will be very good to that neighbor widow, because she could have sold that tractor for a lot more if she had known how to go about it. I hope you will drop by frequently and see if you can do things to help around her place.

WOW...You can count you're luck stars. That's an awesome deal. FYI...when I bought mine 6yrs ago I pd $1,800 just for the 60"mmm, that'll put it in perspective for ya. I've probably got over 14,000 in my bx with all my attachments.

hold on alittle before bashing me for ripping off this lady.
yes mowing deck very good condition hardly used so this
means the majority of the hours on the tractor was with the loader.
looks like every hydraulic hose on the tractor and loader will
have to be replaced. the lines to the steering up front are
extremely aggravating to say the least. if i want it to look
good all orange will have to be painted. loader looks rough again
needs paint hopefully no more. mice have done some damage in
places even messed up the screen between the battery area
and the radiator. also has developed a slight miss so could
have a injector or fuel delivery issue new seat a must. with
the hose busted on the loader how long was it run low on fluid?
yeah i got a good deal but there is alot of work to do.

Dude..I'm not bashing at all, But like tomH I do hope you'll help out if they ever need. My brother and I plow all the driveways on our block during the winter. He uses his blade and I don the 50" front blower and we're done in no time at all, most of our neighbor's are older..or getting there. If we're outside and full of snow already it's no big deal to us. I'm not saying it's what you should do, but remeber your blessing and bless others when you can.

Please reread my post. I said I am happy for you. I said you got a good deal. I said the tractor could have been sold for more. I said I hope you will show kindness to the widow who gave you such a great deal. There is nothing there negative towards you and no mention of ripping off. None of that at all is in my words, and none of it was in my thoughts either. If you are experiencing turbulent feelings, give some thought as to all the possible sources from which they could be coming.

maybe i took it wrong i guess. she was nice and gratefull for me helping her
it would cost her quite abit to get everything fixed on it and she just wanted
it gone. as far as her driveway, to come down with my truck and trailer with
tractor i had to use 4 wheel low its almost straight up no wander the mowing
deck had no time on it.

back to the tractor powersteering hoses are really something
wish i had searched past post i would not have bought kubota
replacements. much like chevrolet building their truck around the
heater core. floor pan dinged in pretty good thanking of beating
it back out and going with rhinoliner you got a black mat anyway
may not look to bad? it looks much cleaner underneath the tractor
than the outside the sun has done some damage.back signal lights
are gone do you need kubota replacements or autoparts work ok?
anyone ever paint a loader? this looks rough.

How much rust is on it and if any, are there any pits of rust that go deep? Any chance you have access to a sandblaster? That may be the fastest way to get it all ready for new paint if you know anybody with a machine. Don't know that it would be cost effective to rent the machine then only use it for minutes though.
