I am confused on some of the attachments and hope you guys can help me out.

If I go out and purchase a loader for this will I be getting the new style one with curverd arms or the old one? Inother words the new BX series machines ate the attachments the same?

Power blade, on Kubotas site it does not mention it fits the 2230 but rather the 2350, is it the same?

Tires, dealer says R4 tires are unavailable for 2230 but bar are.. I see the new front r4 have 10 inch rims, then I swa a post were you cant remove the deck with those rims but I dont see why not since the rim difference is the diameter not width?

Anything i should be aware of with this machine, any important updates or maintenance i should pay attention too?

The FEL for your BX2230 will be the old style LA210. The new style FEL uses different mounting brackets, joystick and hydraulic connections.
I have the LA210 on my BX23 which is the TLB version of the same series as your BX is and it works fine.
You'll have to go through a Kubota dealer for the FEL and I'd expect they'll have to special order it since it's not used on the newer models.
Of all the implements I have, besides the MMM, the FEL is the most used and handiest implement of them all.

I don't know about the power blade. Since the hydraulic connections will be different, it could be a different part number for it. Again you'll probably need to go through a dealer for this also, unless you can find a complete assembly on ebay etc. Perhaps someone else will respond with experience with this.

The R4 wheels and tires will fit your BX2230. There have been quite a few folks that have done this. I purchased a set of turfs from a fellow that changed his BX2230 over to the newer BX style R4's.
The only problem I've heard of in going with the newer R4's is that the fronts "may" hit the front edge of a 60" MMM when cut sharply to either side. Other than that they'll bolt right on up.

The BX 30 series only had a few problems that were discovered and repaired early on in their production so you may not encounter them. One was the fuel sender could leak when the tank was completely filled. Kubota provides a repair kit for this. Some just don't fill it completely up.

Another is the power steering lines could leak anywhere after 200 hrs (Kubota recommends to check and replace every 200 hrs) and many folks go with stronger aftermarket made lines if/when the OEMs go. I've got approx 250 hrs on my BX23 and so far so good.
Just make sure that you change out the engine oil & filter every 100 hrs, the engine air filter once a yr (if in real dusty conditions) and the HST oil & filter every 300 hrs and you should be good to go.
These machines are designed to go 1000's of hrs so with proper maintenance you should have many yrs a good service out of it.

BTW, spare parts shouldn't be a problem either, should you need them.

Do a search for Kubota manuals, there is a poster here that used to host a site that contain the WSM for the 30 series BX's. These manuals are invaluable if you plan to wrench your machine yourself. Also you should get an owners manual, you may need to go through a dealer for this if you don't have one.
