BX2230 only runs in start position

Yes it is a stop solenoid but there is still fuel in the line that gets sucked in and lets the engine fire.
I have had this issue before. I would start with the easy trouble shooting first.

Its one of the fuses next to the battery, behind the ignition correct? In that case, all fuses are good

Ok, next loose or broken wires. You can ohm the solenoid to see if it is bad.

Looks like its the solenoid. After review, i see the back of the solenoid melted and popped.

The solenoid should not be melted, it is only energized when shutting down engine and then is released.

I had an issue with a "leaky" timer relay. It was sending a small amount of voltage to the stop solenoid all the time eventually causing the solenoid to freeze up. Ended up replacing both the relay and the solenoid to solve my shutdown problem.
