My shiny new BX2230 was delivered about noon on Saturday, and I promptly put 9 hrs on the clock over the weekend! I am wondering how I got by without this machine for so long. I had so many things going on when it was delivered that I didn't snap any photos while it was clean. The pics show a little bit of dirt after an afternoon of various activities.
First, the dealer went through operation, and then we removed the loader. I mowed the grass, and was impressed with the cut. My grass was very tall since I sold my LT about a week ago. The tall grass was no match for the BX.
Next, I put the loader back on (after a little trial and error)and practiced a little with a dirt pile in my neighbors back yard. I then went to work leveling a large beam to get ready for planting. I was nervous about going across the slope, so I drove up, curled the bucket down and backdragged down the slope. Worked great. After smoothing, seeding and fertilizing, I went to get the straw. The large round bale was too far away from my work, so I pushed it with the loader across the yard. The BX didn't even break a sweat sliding the bale. I used the bucket to deliver piles of hay to various parts of the berm...very handy tool.
On Sunday, I removed the deck and did some more loader work and backblade grading. I am very impressed with the power of this machine, and I am only using 1/2 to 2/3 throttle until it is broke in.
After 9 hrs, I was beat, and sunburned, (although it was fun)the BX was ready for more, and still had 1/4 tank of fuel left. By the way, the setup I have is: BX2230, FEL, 60" MMM, 60" Kodiak grader blade, turfs and AGs, both sets of rears loaded.
Who knew work could be so much fun! I am already lined up to move topsoil for my neighbor who just put in a pool, and has his yard all tore up. I am sure I will become very popular in the neighborhood!
