Hello all I have a tow year old BX23 with 265 hours almost trouble free (Air cleaner strap broke @ 200 hours) my problem is that the hydraulic lift has never returned to the neutral position the tractor just loads up until I return the lever to the neutral position by hand. Is this something that I can adjust?
Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone adjusted this themselves.

Thanks

matt

There is an adjustment on the linkage, if you will look at it from the rear, on the right side under the right rockshaft arm(that's the top arm that raises and lowers the TPH) you will see a rod attached to the bottom of the arm, the rod has a spring and two nuts locked together, that is the adjustment rod. There is a spring and locknuts in front of the rockshaft arm and one behind. If you lower the TPH and then watch that adjustment rod, you will see that you can adjust the nuts and spring in or out to make it return the control lever to neutral. The rear locknut should kick the control lever to neutral when the TPH gets to the top, the other spring should kick the control lever to neutral when the TPH gets to the lower position. Hope I explained that clearly, if you watch it raise and lower you should be able to see how it should work.

What you describe is how the lift works. It's meant so that if you're lowering or raising the attachment you can just set it 'up' or 'down' and the lift will go all the way up or down. AND, if you do want it somewhere specific then you have to adjust that manually, just as you describe.

I'm not aware of an adjustment that will allow you to override this, but if there's a way to do it I'm convinced someone here at TBN will know!!

Good luck

Eric

I understood that he was talking about when his lift arms gets raised all the way to the top, the control lever stays in the raise position and it should kick itself back to the center position, the same when the lift arms are lowered, when they get to the bottom, the control lever should kick itself to the center position. The adjustment I tried to describe will make it return to the center position either up or down, that is all that adjustment does.

:) :D I can not thank you guys enough how cool 10 minutes work and my biggest complaint about my BX is now history. I traded in a deere 316 and attachments (tiller, blower, cab and grass catcher) for my BX23, 52" kubota tiller, landpride boxblade, and 48" king kutter brush cutter and have been very happy.

THANKS ALL :D :D :D :D
