I've got a BX 23 w/ the front snowblower and quick attach. Obviously I have to remove the front blower, but do I have to remove the quick attach to use the front end loader?
I would recommend removing the "quik attach" in the spring, you can leave it there, but would reducing ground clearence & would be the first thing to get full of dirt.
Take the time, 1hour & store it away for next year.
Thanks. I'll take off the quick attach for the Spring--I have to put on the mid-mount deck. I'm primarily interested in using the loader this winter for some chores. I'd hate to have to remove the whole quick attach just to use the loader for a small task. My dealer thought that the loader might hit the quick attach in the down most position. Despite all my research, it never seemed to be a possible pitfall until after the purchase. Just curious if any had tried to use the loader with the quick attach. My barn floor is currently made up of old barn doors thrown in the dirt--it's real uneven, so it'll probably be a pain to put the loader on just to satisfy my curiousity.
I have a BX1800 and have used the FEL while the quick-attach for the blade/blower was attached. Other than having to coil up the hydraulic hoses for the quick-attach to keep them out of the way and the already noted lower floor clearance, I ran into no problems.
Thanks for the reply. More than anything, I just want to be able to move some heavy things around the barn. To be honest, I hadn't thought much about the loss of ground clearance, so at least I won't have to learn about that the hard way.
