Ok I have a customer with a BX23 and it has los about 2-3 quarts of Hydro fluid within a month or 2. He has 90 hours on the machine. It doesn't leak out it just gets low and loses some hydro power. There is about 90 hours on the machine. And my mechanics don't want to be bothered here right now any of you guys have an idea of what it could be?

Its got to be a leak as theres no other place for the hydraulic fluid to go in a BX. The HST is a totally self contained unit and is connected to the engine via a driveshaft.

One (or more) of the couplings could be loose, or the feed or return line to the BH could be loose or any of the several hydro connections on the HST.

There is a vent valve on the front of thr HST but there would be fluid all over the MMM if it were releasing too muc fluid.

I've over 100 hrs since my last HST service and havent had to add a drop of fluid. Theres definitely a leak somewhere and he needs to bring it in for repair...

The only thing that stinks is he is 100 miles away. I don't mind going and getting it it's just a pain sometimes. I usually pick up and deliver the tractors I sell myself.

There is no MMM this is Arizona lol.
I will have him check all the connection when the machine is running to see if there are any leaks. But when he parks it overnight there is no fluid on the ground.

Thanks.

I would guess that there is a pinhole leak in a hose that only leaks under pressure. Work that baby on cement...i'll bet you find it....
