Jerry, I dont think you need to apologize. Ask any question, one o f us will answer it whether it's in the book or not. There is a rotary knob between your legs on the deck, where you can dial-in a cutting depth from roughly 2-5 inches. This controls how far the arms that support the deck are allowed to drop. the anti-scalp wheels normally should NOT touch the ground. They wear out very quickly as they do not have metal bushings or bearings, so you only want them to roll occasionally when you hit high ground.
