BX23 - Pain in the seat

Last Friday on the day I was supposed to be in the wood shop working on my first born's crib, I helped by builder dig a 65ft trench with by BX.
After digging the trench as I was turning the seat so I could put the tractor away, the seat SNAPPED OFF. The bolt that is swivels on just snapped. I was not nor have I been rough with the seat when turning it.
I managed to find most of the parts that when flying... good thing the dealer had the parts or close facsimiles in stock since the tractor as sitting on the side of a hill. (Facing the right way, not tipping danger.)

Has anyone else had their seat just snap off?

Seems to me that that was an early issue, and that Kubota made an improvement of some sort. I dont have the TLB, so I didn't pay a huge amount of attention...maybe someone else can chime in with details though....

Yes almost all the BX 22 had that problem. It comes from turning the seat the same way all of the time and causes the one and only bolt to tighten down and then twist off. I solved it by using a longer bolt and double nutting it with some play in it.
