Oops. Saturday afternoon about 15:00 (after the dealer was closed and other local places were closed) I went to convert my BX23 from a mower to a digger. After removing the 60"MMM, I went to attach the FEL and, while being slightly distracted by my 5 year old asking questions, noticed that the right side of the FEL mount wasn't seating properly. Upon further investigation, I saw that I had pinched the middle hydraulic line going to the control valve (the one with the 90 degree end and the orange tape). Unfortunately, it bit into the line and I had hydraulic oil oozing all over the floor.
After a little tugging and jerking, I was able to manually remove the FEL (rope hoist helped) and found an auto parts store still open that made hoses. 18:00 and everything was back together and I was able to start working on a 24" pine stump.
I think I still may have a leak somewhere though - I will check the fittings to make sure they are tightened enough. Can't see any oil, but upon checking the level, it is always low.
Moral of the story: Be careful driving into the FEL and attaching it, so you don't pinch the hose. My hose cost $23. Dealer quoted me $25 today. Luckily I only had a few hours downtime and was able to get in 6 more hours digging on Sunday (still don't have the stump out of the ground.
