BX23 Snowblower quick attatchment not working.

Hello,
today I was removing the FEL and Backhoe and getting ready to install the front snowblower. I installed the quick hitch on the front which has two hydro-hoses (blue & read ring on them). Well, I attached the hoses by cap color, not the little ring color at first, and the quick hicth would only go down. I saw the problem and and connected the hoses proberly. Now the quick hitch for the snowblower will only move about a 1/2 inch up and down?

Help ... what to do? The Snowblower and quick attachment have been sitting outside since the Spring under cover. Both are new as of April.

Can anyone suggest something to fix this problem ... what to look for?

Do you have it attached to the lift spool or the bucket spool ? It may not work right on the regen side.

You have attached one side to the lift and the other to the dump- there was previously a problem with the color codes not matching up for the 4-way valves, but I thought they had all the manuals corrected.
After having this exact problem with my BX2200 a couple of winters ago, a letter came from Kubota (after I had it figured out.)
Here is the easiest way:
with your hydraulic lines attached to the tractor, disconnect all the lift and dump lines,
with the tractor running, very briefly move the controller lever down and watch which hose in front strains, attach it to the lower quick hitch line.
Do the opposite for the top quick hitch connection.
You may need to change the color coding on your snowblower lines.

Here's what worked on my BX23...
Valve Subframe(thrower)
--------- ------------
White Red
Yellow Blue


Hope this helps. I also had to bend the chute adjustment rod support that attaches to the FEL valve support so that the adjustment rod wouldn't bind.

Thanks guys, I didn't think Kubota would have screwed up the color codes. I'll try the red -> white\ and blue -> yellow connections after my CMP shoot this morning.

Yep, that's what worked for me. Good luck at the shoot, I received a Garand from the CMP about two months ago....waaay cool.

I also changed out the quick pin thing that holds the rods together. Found that the pin would fall out every once and a while.
A small bolt and jam not work fine....just in case you have the same trouble.
Remember to lube the chain with bar oil....
