BX2350 + post hole digger + zebra grass

Here's my problem, I have some big zebra grass plants to remove. I figured with the FEL it would be easy. No way with thr root system the FEL does nothing. I wonder if my hydraulic pressure is set to low because I can't even curl the bucket upward.


So I'm thinking maybe a PHD would do the job with a 6inch auger to rip them up besides for other planting projects. what are my choices?

What other implements do you have?

I would use my box blade scarifiers.

A post hole digger may be the least expensive implement to use. I have several grasses as do my brother next door. I've assualted the bigger ones with Axes. hatchets, shovels, hand post hole diggers and every other tool I own. They can be tough with a capital T to remove if they get very big and if they can wrap their roots around a bolder.
The boxblade teeth may dig up parts if they are where you can drive across from one side to the other while diggin/cutting with the teeth but if they are near a structure where you can't make the pass it probably won't work.
I have a BH on my BX (BX25) and I've dug some up that will almost turn my tractor over trying to break the roots loose. Some I've left at my Brothers because I couldn't get under them enough with BH bucket with out tearing his yard up and told him to spray them with Roundup. I dug some up from him last fall and after getting them broke loose at the root with BH I'd load one in the FEL and one was so heavy that it would rock/lift my back wheels off the ground on hills.
Don't think you'll do any good with them using FEL unless they are small.
Anyway, my only luck with them that were a bit mature was with my BH.
