BX2380V Quote

My local Kubota dealer is offering a BX2380V HST with a LA344S loader, 1 set of rear remotes, loaded Rim Guard rear turf tires, & 54" bucket delivered for $15k + tax.

In addition, the salesman noted I could also use their 0% financing for 60 months.

What does the 'V' stand for?

Is the loader model correct for not having a back hoe?

Is this deal pretty good, or is there some wiggle room left?

I am considering the 60" bucket, as it is illegal to push snow across the street.

that is the correct loader for the bx series. I believe the 'S' means that its has quick-attach coupler for the bucket. not sure what the V means. The base price of the 23HP BX is 12k. You are paying 3K for a loader, rear remotes. List price for that is 16,200 on kubota web site. I'd say its a fair price not a steal.

Mower? I think the 60 inch bucket is a good idea, I haven't found anyone who can explain a downside, other than if you fill it all the way full with heavy material the BX has trouble lifting it. Obvious answer being only put as much stuff in it as the 54 inch could have held, which the BX can lift just fine.

I am considering the 60" bucket.

I live in Florida so I am not a snow expert but consider~~~~~

You probably need chains for traction over ice with Turf tires.

Even with rim guard in the Turf tires you will need 300+ pounds of counterbalance weight on the BX Three Point Hitch in order to lift a full FEL bucket of wet snow.
For snow removal, a rear/angle blade might be useful for scraping snow and counterbalance.

The nominal lift capacity of LA344 loader is 739 pounds (+/-).
(This is right out of the Kubota catalog in front of me.)

The SSQA reduces lift capacity 126 pounds, from 739 pounds to 613 pounds.
(This is right out of the Kubota catalog in front of me.)

60" bucket will weigh 40 pounds ( ?? ) more than 56" bucket, which is part of your payload.

Payload now around 573 pounds.

Consider 60" SSQA 'Light Materials Bucket' with the dealer. (Not available in lesser width.)

USA inflation is running 2% a year. Each year you will be paying Kubota credit with less valuable dollars. During year five, dollars will have inflated 8% (+/-). This financing is in your favor.

KTAC insurance will be rolled in with 0% financing.
Highly advisable for neophyte tractor owners.

Get the regular bucket and then buy the bucket expander from BXpanded.com. That way, the bucket is still only 48 inches wide, and you could fit it tighter spaces, but the bucket expander will double the heaped capacity of your bucket.

As of today, the choice of SSQA buckets from the dealer went to only a 48". Comparing to my other available mfr choices, the hp, loader capacity and bucket sizes were the smallest, but the price was the highest. Not looking too favorable for Kubota.
