Bx23s k connect alignment on 2816 snowblower

Hello. Did my annual maintenance on my blower today. Adjusted chain. Trying to reconnect the quick connect and it’s much harder to move handle forward. Anyone have a pic of their alignment of this to the snowblower? Wondering if the 2 faces are supposed to be completely engaged or if the 1/4” gap between them is normal?
