Just got a new BX23s last week, and have a bit of a problem. It has a mid mount mower and a three point hitch mounted 2" receiver. I have a DR yard Vac that I want to use with the BX. But when I put the mower deck down, the hitch drops as well. I'm sure there is a way to stop the hitch from moving with the mower, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks.

I don't think there is a magic fix for that short of a mechanical restraint. Why not take the arms off, takes 5 or 10 minutes to remove them.
I need the 2" receiver to attach my trailer hitch too. The receiver is mounted to the three point. There is what looks like a mounting hole below the PTO, but that is way to low and puts the Vac system too close to the back of the tractor.

Sorry tried to edit my last post and deleted it. I was looking in my manual starting at page 84 and it goes on to say to turn the drop date knob to close and it will lock the 3 pth but I'm pretty sure it will lock the deck also?

Look for the two eye holes near the top of your 3ph on either side. You can move the vertical lift arms to those holes so the rear attachment doesn't move with the hitch. That's what they're for.

Yes thanks Chris it's on page 80 of my manual.

Yes,

I tried that and as you surmised, it locks both.

Probably going to have to set MMM at proper height for mowing, and make (mod) a 3PH hitch with receiver at proper operating height for normal use of vac, if you raise mow deck and 3PH and it tilts vac front up it is probably not going to be issue unless rear of vac scrapes ground...

There is this possibility and using a dropdown insert UPSIDE DOWN to raise hit ball...

This is a BX hitch kit sold somewhere online....

And then there are these from autoparts store....

These also work upside down to raise ball mount...

If that works, great. If not, simply try to use a piece of chain or strap on each side to hold the arms up where you want them.

I didn't like using a bolt on hitch, no matter how I tried it. Using the three point allows to to back under the trailer and lift the ball into place, then lift the trailer as you need to once you secure the latch.

IF there is solid mechanical link between 3PH arms and MMM Arms, check chains are still going to restrict how much drop is allowed at MMM...

That will not work. The 3 point rockshaft controls the deck height. The answer is posted above, move the upper ends of the lift arms to a fixed point own the chassis. Kubota planned for this and described it in the Op manual.

Your can blow up this picture and see how I did my draw bar. It took 2 pieces of angle iron and a piece of flat stock, cost for all of it was maybe $50.00. The other picture is you can see how even the dump trailer is. The upper mounting holes on the tractor was there, all I did was to match the holes. After mounting the angle I just welded the flat stock with the draw bar and holder on.

RickB and the other guy are right .

Thought I'd let everyone know how things ended up. I sold the DR Yard Vac and purchased a Bagger for the Kubota. It mounts on the three hitch arms also, but comes with the necessary brackets to attach it, and bypass the hydraulic arms. Works great, but it's a bit of work to switch back to the three point hitch, or the backhoe. Since you have to remove a couple plates, bolted on with a couple bolts.
